PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality atypical rare earth sintered magnet, such as C type or D type, stably because occurrence of warp or deformation, and crack or break of a sintered body can be suppressed, while ensuring high industrial value, because various product shapes can be dealt with easily, and the magnet can be produced efficiently.SOLUTION: A rare earth sintered magnet is produced by using a mold including a die, an upper punch and a lower punch, where any one or both of the upper punch and lower punch have a non-planar pressing surface, providing a main sieve mesh having a non-planar sieve surface substantially same as the pressing surface of any one of the upper punch or lower punch, at the lower end of a portion of a shooter part of a feeder serving as a rare earth sintered magnet alloy powder supply port, and while giving both fine vibration and vertical motion to the shooter part, dropping the rare earth sintered magnet alloy powder to a cavity through the sieve mesh, and after filling the cavity, molding the rare earth sintered magnet alloy powder in a magnetic field by uniaxial pressing, and then heat treating. |
