The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for correcting current sensing of a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor, which detects whether a ripple current is generated based on a switching time point, thereby stably correcting current sensing with respect to a section where the ripple current is actually generated. According an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for correcting current sensing of a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor, which is provided with three-phase voltage through a switching part controlled depending on a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, comprises: a phase voltage detecting part detecting a phase voltage signal from the phase voltage supplied to the BLDC motor; a freewheeling section detecting part detecting a freewheeling section by using sensing data received from a hall sensor installed on the BLDC and the phase voltage signal detected by the phase voltage detecting part; a current sensing part sensing a current value of the switching part synchronized by the PWM signal at a predetermined time interval; and a sensing correction part correcting the sensed current value in accordance with the freewheeling section. |
