A portable information processing apparatus includes an image display section, stereo sound output sections, a pair of vibration sections, and a control section. The pair of vibration sections is provided on a left side and a right side of a main body of the information processing apparatus with respect to a center of the image display section. The control section includes sound control means, vibration control means, and image control means. The sound control means generates sound signals to be output to the stereo sound output sections, and outputs the sound signals. The vibration control means generates vibration signals for vibrating the pair of vibration sections by vibrations, each having a plurality of frequency components, and outputs the vibration signals. The image control means controls an image to be displayed on the image display section.
