The method involves placing a test sample (62) on a sample holder (60) and determining initial mass of the test sample, which comprises polymer, silica gel and zeolite and is assigned to a radio frequency identification marker. A test chamber (30) is heated using a predefined temperature profile. A measuring mass of the test sample is measured using a weighing device (40) after the test sample is heated according to the predefined temperature profile. The measuring mass is compared with a reference value of mass. A signal corresponding to the result of the comparison is outputted. An independent claim is also included for a test sample for verification of a measuring device.
