In the present invention, there is disclosed a pharmaceutical composition comprising the renin inhibitor of the general formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, particularly hemi-fumarate and at least one therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of (i) an ATi-receptor antagonist, particularly valsartan, or a pharmaceutical acceptable salt thereof, (ii) an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
