PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advance resource saving and environmental protection in steel industry, etc. by improving recycling rate of discarded refractories by positively utilizing a discarded refractory used for a furnace and a container, etc. in a process of handling molten metal, as a refractory raw material of a mud material for molten metal tapping, at low cost.SOLUTION: The mud material for molten metal tapping is produced by blending the discarded refractories with a grain size of 10 mm or less, from which mixed ground metal is separated and which contain adhesive slag and altered substance thereof, at an amount of 10-60 mass% into refractory raw materials whose grain size is 6 mm or below, and adding a caking binder to them. |
