Method, system and computer program product of determining a payment strategy

A computer-implemented method for handling a payment strategy for a merchant payment platform is described. The method is based on an objective criterion for providing recommendations to a user for choosing a payment strategy to be deployed over a merchant payment platform. In some embodiments, the method includes receiving a plurality of financial parameters and payment parameters, the payment parameters comprising one or more payment alternatives and one or more payment rules; simulating payment transactions for a plurality of combinations of the payment parameters, payment alternatives and payment rules; using the financial parameters for computing a plurality of financial impacts for each simulated payment transactions; and providing payment strategy recommendations based on the computed results.
