<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary storage method for radioactive substance-containing earth that can increase a sense of security of peripheral residents, etc. and prevent radioactive substance-containing earth from flying around when the radioactive substance-containing earth is dug up. <P>SOLUTION: The temporary storage method for radioactive substance-containing earth includes: a first step of constructing a temporary storage structure A; a second step of keeping the radioactive substance-containing earth in the temporary storage structure A; and a third step of transporting the radioactive substance-containing earth in the temporary storage structure A. In the first step, a peripheral wall 1 is constructed by providing a plurality of precast retaining walls made of concrete successively, a bottom-face water shielding layer 2 and a side-face water shielding layer 3 are formed; and a top end water shielding layer 4 is formed along an upper surface of the radioactive substance-containing earth (stored earth layer B) after the radioactive substance-containing earth is carried in the area surrounded with the peripheral wall 1, and the top end water shielding layer 4 is covered with a radiation shield body 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
