The present invention aims to measure a position of nearby anchors having a lower error. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for measuring a position comprises: a communication unit for exchanging information for measuring a position from surrounding nodes; a position measuring unit for measuring a position by using the information received from the surrounding nodes; a spreading degree calculating unit for calculating the frequency of renewal of the initial position value to display an accumulated position error; a covariance calculating unit for calculating an error covariance from at least a part of the surrounding nodes; and a control unit for using at least one from the result of calculation by the spreading degree calculating unit and the result of calculation by the covariance calculating unit, selecting at least a part of the surrounding nodes, and measuring the current position by using the information received from the selected nodes.
