<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm gear mechanism for improving its durability without increasing its size.SOLUTION: The worm gear mechanism includes: a worm shaft 72 having a spiral wall part 721 formed on the outer periphery; a worm wheel 71 having an engaging part 713 on the outer periphery for engaging with the worm shaft 72; a spiral power transmission member 73 mounted on the outer periphery of the worm shaft 72 and continuously extending between the wall part 721 and the wall part 721 adjacent to each other in the direction of the rotation axis of the worm shaft 72; and a plurality of tapered rollers 75 provided between the wall part 721 and the power transmission member 73 in the direction of an axis Y1 for enabling relative rotation between the worm shaft 72 and the power transmission member 73 around the axis Y1. The engaging part 713 of the worm wheel 71 abuts at its position of engagement with the worm shaft 72 on the opposite side of the power transmission member 73 to the tapered rollers 75 in the direction of the axis Y1.</p> |
