Class 135.[Also in Group XXXIV] In a device for isolating defective piping in hydraulic braking systems of the type comprising a piston 3 in a casing 1 having inlet and outlet connections 8 and 4 respectively and movable against a spring 9 to seal off the outlet connection 4 in the event of failure of a conduit, the piston 3 has narrow and broad rectangular section grooves 16 and 17 respectively in its surface, these grooves being engageable by the small and large ends 15 and 14 of a spring loaded pawl 11 for locking the piston in the positions for filling and isolating the piping to the wheel cylinders.</p> |
