PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make marks on a document such as a mark sheet detectable with high accuracy at a reduced cost than conventional costs.SOLUTION: A multifunction machine 1 comprises a conversion unit 102 which, by OCR-processing each part of an image shown by read data read by a document reading unit 5, checks whether one of a plurality of standard patterns matches with the image, and converts the image to a character correlated to the standard pattern which was found matching. A client computer comprises a determination unit 74 which, when the converted character by the conversion unit is a first standard character, determines that an image part as a subject of determination on the document is a mark, and when it is not the first standard character, determines that the image part as a subject of determination is not the mark. |
