The seed delivery system housing (402) comprises a wear liner and contains, at least in part, a transport mechanism for moving seed (152) along a seed path (1402) through the seed delivery system housing (402), the wear liner comprising: a wear liner insert (1400) extending along a portion of the seed path (1402) within the seed delivery system housing (402), the wear liner insert (1400) including a wear surface (1418) interposed between the transport mechanism and the seed delivery system housing (402) to protect at least one of the seed (152) and the seed delivery system housing (402) from wear. Further, a planting unit (14) with a seed delivery system (1210) is disclosed. The planting unit (14) has a metering member (100) that moves seed (152) sequentially along a first path from a seed pool (120) to a release position (164), and the seed delivery system (1210) comprises said seed delivery system housing (402). |
