<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of analysis of a reception signal. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver unit includes arithmetic means, selection means, and binarization processing means. The arithmetic means finds a first threshold of the reception signal using a peak value of the reception signal. The selection means outputs the first threshold determined by the arithmetic means, and selects and outputs a second threshold found using a peak value of a pulse pattern instead of the first threshold for a predetermined period after the predetermined pulse pattern is detected from the reception signal.
