<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position control device which stably operates without generating oscillation with low frequency when the rigidity of a feed shaft driving system deteriorates. <P>SOLUTION: A moving average step number changing unit 16 changes a moving average step number N2 of a moving averaging unit 3 on the basis of the fluctuation of a position deviation Pdif. The moving average step number changing unit performs the frequency analysis of the position deviation by an FFT arithmetic unit, and calculates a spectrum maximum value. When the calculated spectrum maximum value exceeds a preliminarily set comparison value, the moving average step number changing unit outputs a command to increase the moving average step number to the moving averaging unit 3.
