Disclosed is a propulsion system of a ship. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the propulsion system of a ship comprises: a storage tank to store liquid fuel; a high-pressure pump to press and transmit liquid fuel of the storage tank; a high-pressure vaporizer to vaporize liquid fuel pressurized in the high-pressure pump and to send the liquid fuel toward a high-pressure gas injection engine; a propeller installed in a propulsion shaft driven by the high-pressure gas injection engine; an evaporation gas compressor to receive and pressurize an evaporation gas from the storage tank; a generator engine operated by a fuel gas supplied from the evaporation gas compressor; a power storage device to store electrical energy from the generator engine; and a motor combined with a generator to produce electrical energy and to store the electrical energy in the power storage device by using a rotational force of the propulsion shaft or driving the propulsion shaft by receiving the electrical energy from the power storage device.
