<p>An information processing apparatus including a printer driver for a printing apparatus that supports a first data format and an application for generating data in accordance with the data format supported by the printing apparatus, comprises: a determination unit that determines whether the printing apparatus supports a second data format; and a transmission unit that transmit, to the printing apparatus, data generated by the application in the second data format that contains data in the first data format as it is if the printing apparatus supports the second data format, and converts data generated by the application in the second data format into the first data format using a function of the printer driver and transmits the converted data to the printing apparatus if the printing apparatus does not support the second data format.</p> |
