<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control damper capable of simultaneously having, with a simple construction, a quake suppressing effect by control of the vibration characteristic of a structure and a vibration control effect by energy absorption against various vibrations occurring in the structure.SOLUTION: A displacement dependence type damper 10 comprises: a shaft member 11 connected to opposite members in the frame of a structure, at which ends 11a, 11b have a relative displacement by vibration, and formed with a yield portion 15 which yields during an earthquake; and a buckling restraining member 12 additionally provided on the surface of the shaft member to restrain the shaft member 11 from deforming in an out-of-plane direction, and having one end 12a connected to the shaft member 11 and the other end 12b working as a free end. A rotary inertia mass damper 20 is provided parallel with the displacement dependence type damper for converting a relative displacement caused between the shaft member 11 and the free end 12b of the buckling restraining member 12 to rotary motion of a disk 23 to generate restoring force to the relative displacement by inertia force caused by the rotary inertia mass of the disk 23.</p> |
