The invention relates to a device and a method for forming a workpiece by 3-D extrusion, wherein the device is provided with three vertical spindles (4) drivable by spindle motors (6), a horizontal work platform (7) for the workpiece connected to the spindles (4), wherein the vertical position of the work platform (7) at the position of the spindles (4) is adjustable by these spindles (4), a displacing member (12) for horizontal displacement of an extrusion head (15) and a control member for controlling the spindle (4) motors (6), the displacing member (12) and the extrusion head (15), wherein the device comprises a measuring device (16) for measuring the vertical position of the work platform (7) at the spindle (4) and the control member is configured to move the work platform (7) close to the extrusion head (15), to measure the vertical position of the work platform (7) at each spindle (4) and to correct the vertical position of the work platform (7) by means of the spindle motors (6). The extrusion head (15) thus always moves parallel to the work platform (7). |
