The invention relates to an air filter module (1) which comprises a housing frame (2) that has a first end face (3) with at least one air inlet opening (6), a second closed end face (4) lying opposite, and at least one lateral wall (5) connecting the end faces (3, 4) and having at least one air outlet opening (8). A plasma-generating device (10) and an adsorption filter (12) are arranged in an inner chamber (7) of the housing frame (2), the adsorption filter (12) being arranged on the at least one lateral wall (5) so as to cover said at least one air outlet opening (8). The adsorption filter (12) comprises at least two layers (13) of an adsorption material between which a metal-knit (16) or a metal fibre scrim is arranged. The air filter module (1) comprises a security switch-off device (17) which switches off the plasma-generating device (10) in the event of there being insufficient air flow from the plasma-generating device (10) through the adsorption filter (12) and the air outlet opening (8). The air filter module (1) comprises a high-voltage generating device (11) in the inner chamber (7) of the housing frame (2). A securing device for securing the air filter module (1) to a wall or to a cover, or support feet or rollers, may be arranged on the housing frame (2). |
