The element has securing devices (5, 25) including an upper clamping section (25k) that is arranged in a clamping receiver in a lower side of an under engaged roof covering element (1) and a lower fixing section (25f) connected to a roof support structure. The securing devices include a connecting section (25v) that is connected to the upper clamping section and the lower fixing section. The connecting section is arranged in the under engaged roof covering element on a front side or a corner region or a lateral front side of a roofing element.
