<p>The present invention discloses a method for obtaining a user identity. The method includes: sending an identity request message to a mobile station by simulating a mobile switching center MSC to request a user identity; receiving an identity response message sent by the mobile station in response to the identity request message, where a sequence number of the identity response message is S; and sending, to the MSC, an uplink non access stratum message for updating a message sequence number without changing a status of a core network, where a sequence number of the uplink non access stratum message is S. The embodiments of the present invention can improve stability of a communication system and prevent the following case: due to asynchronous sequence numbers, errors occur when the mobile switching center checks the sequence number of the received uplink non access stratum message.</p> |
