<p>The present invention relates to a knowledge-based automatic designing system and a method thereof. The knowledge-based automatic designing system according to the present invention comprises: a database for extracting and storing knowledge information from an existing designing result; a control unit for controlling grafting of the database; and a design realizing unit for realizing result designing by using knowledge information stored in the database through the controlling. The designing realizing unit comprises: a first designing realizing unit for designing a reference part corresponding to a layout including a reference point for a combination region capable of being combined with a unit component, by selecting a basic position; and a second designing realizing unit for designing a unit component corresponding to a unit constituting an overall result by combining the combining region with a reference point of the designed reference part. According to the present invention, a knowledge-based technique is used in a CAD system, thereby effectively managing product developing data. Moreover, a designing reference file and a reusing file related to the reference part and unit component are recycled, thereby reducing a development period and saving costs. In addition, a progress situation compared to a designing project plan can be digitized and reported.</p> |
