The present invention relates to a water treatment type food waste disposal unit enabling the food waste to be purified to the extent that the waste can be drained into a sewer. The present invention comprises: a cylindrical hopper having a wide-diameter upper part and a narrow-diameter bottom to receive food waste; a grinder for grinding food waste received from the hopper wherein the grinder is detachable from the food waste disposal unit; a microorganism processor for keeping the waste for a certain period of time so that organic matters can be decomposed by aerobes by blending the ground waste with aerobes with an additional process of breaking down water molecules into small clusters to help fermentation as the water molecules were polluted by harmful waves generated during the stirring process in a ceramic bowl; a primary water purifier to improve water quality by producing floating matters at an upper part by generating microbubbles in the decomposed waste and then moving the waste back into the microorganism processor to minimize sludge; a secondary water purifier to improve the water quality once more by putting balls having water purificability into the purified waste from the primary water purifier; a tertiary water purifier for deodorizing or neutralizing odors and sterilizing the waste by exposing the waste from the secondary water purifier to ultraviolet (UV) light; and a drain part to drain out the purified waste from the tertiary water purifier.
