Generating a test signal for a PNT (position, navigation and timing) configuration to test the PNT configuration. Information for a threat signal is received from a database 102 holding three or more different types of threat signals and used to generate a corresponding threat signal 111 which is combined with a PNT signal 112 via a signal combiner 114 to generate the test signal 116. The threat signal may be observed using one or more GNSS jamming signal detectors 100, each threat being an RF-based man-made GNSS jamming signal, and recorded to the database. The threat signals may concern real-world threat signals, spoofing signals, signals affected by solar weather and evil waveforms. They may also be recorded signals or generated by user input via an interface 108. The test signals generated may simulate different threats including different simultaneous and independent threats. The PNT configuration may be tested by transmitting the generated test signal to the PNT configuration 118 and receiving output from it. The threat signal generator 104 may have a processor 106 to perform the steps of generating a threat signal by causing a signal processing device 110 to act on received information. |
