Disclosed are a negative electrode active material, a negative electrode and a lithium battery using the same, and a method for manufacturing the negative electrode active material, wherein the negative electrode active material includes a silicon-based alloy consisting of Si, Ti, Ni and Fe. The silicon-based alloy includes Ti_2Ni form as inactive state and low active silicon content than the existing one, wherein the negative electrode active material can improve a discharge capacity of the lithium battery and lifespan characteristics.
