1. A method of facilitating wireless signaling using beamforming comprising:
transmitting a first wide beam from a first base station, the first wide beam providing wireless signaling at a first beam angle; receiving a first response to the first wide beam from a device within a vicinity of the first base station; determining a first positioning of the device based on the first response, including determining a first direction from the first base station to the device; determining whether a second base station is one of in-line or out-of-line with the first direction; transmitting a narrow beam from the first base station in the first direction toward the device if the second base station is out-of-line, the narrow beam providing wireless signaling at a second beam angle, the second beam angle being less than the first beam angle; transmitting a second wide beam from the first base station in the first direction toward the device if the second base station is in-line, the second wide beam providing wireless signaling at a third beam angle, the third beam angle being greater than the second beam angle; determining the second base station to be in-line when a second positioning of the second base station coincides with the first direction and is within a first distance from the first base station; determining the second base station to be out-of-line when the second positioning coincides with the first direction and is beyond the first distance from the first base station; and determining the second base station to be out-of-line when the second positioning fails to coincide with the first direction. |
