A number of containers carried in concentric rows on an intermittently rotated table under a cover 26 are supplied with measured quantities of liquid from a supply container 50 by a dropper 30 delivering into a funnel 32 having an outlet 34, the table being rotated step by step at timed intervals or after a required number of drops have been counted by a photo-electric cell unit 400. The funnel 32 is mounted on a bracket 44 pivoted on the vertical axis of the dropper and, at the end of each revolution of the table, is rotated to bring the outlet 34 into registry with the next row of containers. In order that two rows of containers may be filled at the same time, a second supply container may be fitted, feeding a second funnel 34A on the bracket 44. The unit 400 contains a dropper 488, Fig. 27 (not shown) for directing the drops across the beam from the photo-electric cell and, when fitted, is mounted on the bracket 44. |
