A toner replenishment mechanism includes a motor, a first ratchet mechanical unit, and a second ratchet mechanical unit. The motor includes a rotation shaft with a pinion. The first ratchet mechanical unit transmits only rotary drive power in a forward direction by the pinion to a driven mechanism disposed at a first toner replenishment unit. The first toner replenishment unit replenishes a first developer unit with a first color toner. The second ratchet mechanical unit engages the pinion. The second ratchet mechanical unit transmits only rotary drive power in a reverse direction by the pinion to a driven mechanism disposed at a second toner replenishment unit. The second toner replenishment unit replenishes a second developer unit with a second color toner.
