Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and an apparatus for transmitting transmission control protocol acknowledgements (TCP ACKs). The method for transmitting TCP ACKs in accordance with one embodiment of the present information may comprise the steps of: receiving at least one TCP ACK from at least one TCP data reception node; specifying one among TCP ACKs belonging to the same flow as a representative ACK for the corresponding flow by analyzing the received TCP ACKs; and transmitting representative ACKs specified respectively for each of the flows to a TCP data transmission node corresponding to the corresponding flows. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the unevenness in processing rates among TCP flows can be ameliorated by preventing TCP ACK losses at an access point due to a buffer overflow.
