PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work vehicle capable of maintaining balance between tractive force of a vehicle and driving force of a work machine with simple operation, a method of controlling the same.SOLUTION: A control section of a work vehicle includes a transmission request determination section, a command torque determination section, and a tractive force limitation section. The transmission request determination section determines a request tractive force on the basis of a control input of an accelerator operation member. The request tractive force is a target tractive force in a traveling device. The command torque determination section determines an output torque of an electric motor so that the tractive force of the vehicle is equal to the request tractive force. The tractive force limitation section reduces the request tractive force to be less than a value according to the control input of the accelerator operation member when the vehicle is in the course of excavation. |
