PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which does not need complicated signal processing for suppressing flicker, in the imaging apparatus configured to enlarge a dynamic range by using a plurality of images with different exposure times.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging part for picking up a long-time exposure image with a long exposure time and a short-time exposure image with a short exposure time for each frame; an image memory part for temporarily storing the long-time exposure image and the short-time exposure image which are picked up by the imaging part; a flicker determination part that determines presence/no presence of flicker for each pixel of the short-time exposure image; an image combination processing part for generating a combination image by selectively adopting either pixels of the long-time exposure image or pixels of the short-time exposure image for each pixel for each frame; and a control part which controls the imaging part, the image memory part, the flicker determination part, and the image combination processing part. In the case where luminance of a pixel is equal to or higher than a prescribed level and the flicker determination part determines no presence of the flicker, the image combination processing part adopts the pixels of the short-time exposure image, and adopts the pixels of the long-time exposure image for the other pixels, and generates the combination image. |
