PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of providing a lamination coated film in which the production of ruggedness on an upper layer surface is sufficiently suppressed even when three kinds of coating material are laminated according to wet-on-wet method and are baked, and each layer is cured in order to secure high durability or the like.SOLUTION: A coating method for forming a lamination coated film provided with a lower layer formed on a substrate, an intermediate layer formed on the lower layer, and an upper layer formed on the intermediate layer includes: a baking process of forming an uncured lamination coated film by laminating coating material for the lower layer, coating material for the intermediate layer, and coating material for the upper layer according to wet-on-wet method on the substrate, and curing the coating material for the lower layer, the coating material for the intermediate layer, and the coating material for the upper layer at the same time by subjecting the uncured lamination coated film to baking treatment. Therein, the coating material for the lower layer, the coating material for the intermediate layer, and the coating material for the upper layer are selected such that a sum of an absolute value of a shrinkage rate difference between the coating material for the lower layer and the coating material for the intermediate layer on the baking later time of the baking process and an absolute value of a shrinkage rate difference between the coating material for the intermediate layer and the coating material for the upper layer on the same time is 3.0%. |
