PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material characteristic evaluation device of a rod-shaped or fine linear test piece.SOLUTION: In a material characteristic evaluation device, a movable part is arranged at a position away from an end of a test piece. A magnetic force generation part at which the end of the test piece and the movable part attract each other by attractive force due to magnetic force of a magnet is formed. The movable part can move in such a manner that the end of the test piece and the movable part come close to or separate from each other.
