<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an aqueous black pigment dispersion that develops high optical density and has excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: The production method of an aqueous black pigment dispersion includes: a step of kneading a mixture comprising carbon black, an anionic group-containing organic polymeric compound, and a basic compound; and a step of, after kneading, further adding the anionic group-containing organic polymeric compound and the basic compound.
