PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger composed of a honeycomb structure, in which the honeycomb structure has a new function, and new fluid flow can be provided.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger is composed of a honeycomb structure 1000 made of ceramics and having a first end face 11, a second end face 12, a first side wall 21 and a second side wall 22. The honeycomb structure 1000 has a first flow channel 61 partitioned by an inner wall 50 and sealed by sealing portions 70 at both ends extended from the first end face 11 to the second end face 12, and a second flow channel 62 opened at both ends. The first flow channel 61 and a connection hole 30 formed on the first side wall 21 or the second side wall 22 define a first space 41, and the second flow channel 62 defines a second space 42. Thus the flow of a fluid can be created in the direction crossing the honeycomb structure 1000, and heat can be efficiently exchanged. |
