PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller capable of suppressing the damage of a secondary collision that may occur since a driver's front view is blocked by the deployment of a vehicle external airbag for pedestrian protection after detecting the collision with a pedestrian, even under condition that a vehicle internal airbag for passenger protection do not deploy.SOLUTION: A vehicle controller of the present invention comprises: airbag control means controlling a vehicle external airbag to deploy if the magnitude of a collision detected by a first collision detection sensor satisfies a vehicle-external-airbag deployment condition, and controlling a vehicle internal airbag to deploy if the magnitude of the collision detected by a second collision detection sensor satisfies a vehicle-internal-airbag deployment condition; and brake control means exerting an automatic brake control when the vehicle internal airbag deploys. The brake control means exerts the automatic brake control when the vehicle external airbag deploys even if the vehicle-airbag-deployment condition is satisfied but the vehicle-internal-airbag deployment condition is not satisfied. |
