PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat insulation layer structure low in the surface roughness of a heat insulation layer, preventing removal from occurring, and high in heat insulation performance.SOLUTION: A heat insulation layer structure is one in which a heat insulation layer 21 is formed on a surface 1a of a base material that constitutes an engine member 1, a plurality of concave portions 19 is provided in the surface 1a of the base material, the heat insulation layer 21 lower in thermal conductivity than the base material is provided to spread over the concave portions 19, and the heat insulation layer 21 is provided to close openings of the concave portions 19 and to form spaces 19a in the respective concave portions 19. |
