PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control, when designing a flue gas cleaning system with respect to mercury removal, removal of mercury in aqueous alkaline slurry of a wet scrubber.SOLUTION: To remove the amount of mercury from a flue gas generated by combustion of a fuel resource to reduce mercury emission and/or re-emission to an environment such as the atmosphere, the flue gas is subjected to a wet scrubbing operation to decrease the amount of sulfur oxides present in the flue gas. |
