PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow both of a lens unit and camera body to execute a blur correction at a blur correction ratio enabling an effective use of a blur correction range of the lens unit and camera body when both thereof include a blur correction function, and to thereby enlarge the blur correction range as an entire camera system, and achieve improvement in blur correction performance.SOLUTION: A camera system includes a lens unit and camera body, and the camera body comprises: a blur detection unit that corrects a blur in a plurality of directions; and a determination unit that determines whether a mounted lens unit is a lens unit capable of executing a blur correction in the plurality of directions. When it is determined that the mounted lens unit is a lens unit capable of executing the blur correction in the plurality of directions, the camera body executes the blur correction according to a blur correction ratio of a camera body side, and the lens unit side executes the blur correction according to a blur correction ratio of a lens unit side. |
