PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an end of a light-emitting region of a light-emitting device to continuously emit light when the light-emitting device continues to be used.SOLUTION: A light-emitting element 102 is formed on a substrate 110. A sealing member 180 seals the light-emitting element 102 between itself and the substrate 110. A resin layer 184 is located between the substrate 110 and the sealing member 180. The sealing member 180 includes a sealing region 182 surrounding the light-emitting element 102. In the sealing region 182, the resin layer 184 is located between a surface (sealing surface 183) facing the substrate 110 and the substrate 110. The sealing surface 183 is a smooth surface. The surface roughness of the sealing surface 183 is, for example, not more than 0.2 μm. |
