<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sugar-phosphorylation agent having high activity regardless of the kind of the donor substrate.SOLUTION: The invention provides a sugar-phosphorylation agent comprising at least one of the following (a) to (d); where (a) a protein comprising a specified amino acid sequence (a1) or a protein comprising an amino acid sequence which differs from the specified amino acid sequence with deletion, substitution and/or addition of one or a few amino acids and having a sugar-phosphorylation activity (a2); (b) a nucleic acid encoding the protein (a1) or (a2); (c) a recombinant vector comprising the nucleic acid (b); (d) a transformant transformed with the recombinant vector (c). In an embodiment of the sugar-phosphorylation agent, the sugar is N-acetylglucosamine and the sugar phosphorylation agent has N-acetylhexosamine kinase activity. In another embodiment, the proteins (a1) and (a2) and the nucleic acid (b) are derived from Bifidobacterium bifidum.</p> |
