PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that, in a case where a thunderbolt strikes an electric wire and the like connected with a TA included in an ADSL modem, abnormalities occur in at least one of an SLIC and a DAA included in the TA, which may interfere with services.SOLUTION: Provided is a communication control device comprising: a telephone network connector connected with a public exchange telephone network; a telephone machine connector connected with a telephone machine; a communication controller having at least one of an SLIC and a DAA; a first switch for connecting the telephone machine with any one of a first communication path for connecting the telephone machine with the public exchange telephone network not via the communication controller, and a second communication path for connecting the telephone machine with the public exchange telephone network via the communication controller; a diagnosis part diagnosing at least one of the SLIC and the DAA; and a switch controller controlling the first switch so as to maintain a state where the telephone machine and the first communication path are connected in a case where a diagnosis result by the diagnosis part indicates abnormalities.
