The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display apparatus and a driving method thereof and, more specifically, to a liquid crystal display apparatus for improving degradation in a RGBW 4 sub-pixel structure comprising read (R), green (G), blue (B), and white (W). On this, the present invention provides a DRD-type liquid crystal display apparatus including: first to fourth sub-pixels horizontally arranged; first and second gate wiring formed above and below the first to fourth sub-pixels respectively; a first data wiring intersecting the first and second gate wiring and formed between the second and third sub-pixels; and first to fourth thin-film transistors formed on the first to fourth sub-pixels respectively. The first and second thin film transistors are connected to the first gate wiring; the third and fourth thin film transistors are connected to the second gate wiring; and the first data wiring is connected to either the first or second thin film transistors and to either the third or fourth thin film transistors. |
