Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a control method thereof. The mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a detection part detecting a body worn, motion information and a bio-signal of a wearer; a user input part when detecting that the body is worn, receiving a control command for executing any one mode of a record mode or a control mode; and a control part recording the motion information and bio-signal of the wearer in a specific condition and storing the motion pattern generated in the specific condition, and detecting the motion information and the bio-signal of the wearer in the control mode, and when the motion pattern in the prestored specific condition corresponding to the detected motion information and bio-signal is detected, providing a control command corresponding to the detected motion pattern to an accessed external device.
