PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time necessary for charging an oil to an advance angle chamber and a retard angle chamber while preventing erroneous release of a lock pin.SOLUTION: In a case when an oil charging mode is selected from a lock mode for moving a lock pin 42 in a locking direction, a phase control mode for controlling a cam shaft phase to a target phase according to an operating state of an engine 11, and the oil charging mode for charging an oil to an advance angle chamber 35 and a retard angle chamber 36 while keeping a state that the lock pin 42 is moved in the locking direction before transferring from the lock mode to the phase control mode, as a control mode for adjusting outflow and inflow of the oil by an OCV (oil control valve) 20, a target position of a spool 25 is determined on the basis of oil viscosity, and a position of the spool 25 is controlled to the determined target position. |
