PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of emitting illumination light of a desired wavelength with high resolution, and suppressing light quantity loss of the illumination light, and an observation device.SOLUTION: The light source device includes: a light source part 11; a condensing part including a condenser lens 112 for condensing the light from the light source part 11, and a collimator 113 for converting it into parallel light of a predetermined diameter; and a wavelength variable interference filter 5 that emits the light of a wavelength according to gap dimensions of a pair of reflection films. The predetermined diameter is smaller than the size of a facing area where the pair of reflection films face each other in the wavelength variable interference filter 5. |
