<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable of recovering heat in a bathtub efficiently according to timing at which a user drains bathtub water.SOLUTION: A hot water storage type water heater includes: a hot water storage tank 4 for storing hot water; bathtub water level detection means (water level sensor 13) for detecting a water level of a bathtub 90; heat exchange means (reheating heat exchanger 18) for performing heat exchange of the bathtub water and the hot water in the hot water storage tank 4; drain time estimation means (control unit 22) for storing water level data of the bathtub 90 by the bathtub water level detection means being associated with time, and for estimating drain time of the bathtub 90 based on the water level data; and control means (control unit 22) for controlling a bathtub heat recovery operation for performing heat recovery from the bathtub 90 to the hot water in the hot water storage tank 4 by the heat exchange means. The control means controls the bathtub heat recovery operation based on residual time which is a difference between the drain estimation time estimated by the drain time estimation means and the present time.</p> |
