<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device configured to identify a location where a fault occurs.SOLUTION: A rotation angle detection device includes: excitation signal generation means which generates an excitation signal; an exciting coil 21 which receives the excitation signal; an output coil which outputs a signal according to a rotation angle of a rotor, by electromagnetic induction with the exciting coil 21; and rotation angle calculation means which calculates the rotation angle of the rotor, on the basis of the signal output from the output coil. The rotation angle detection device includes: excitation signal detection means which detects the excitation signal; and fault detection means which detects a fault of the rotation angle detection device, on the basis of the signal output from the excitation signal detection means and the signal output from the output coil.</p> |
