<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal material having low slide resistance and high sealability and excellent in durability, and a seal mechanism.SOLUTION: In order to seal the gap between a pore 22a and a shaft 23 inserted into the pore 22a, a ring seal material 10 is press-fitted into a seal material storage recess part 22 formed in a shaft insertion port 50. The seal material 10 comprises an elastic material where a slide layer 30, where a fiber and an elastomer are integrated, is provided at least on an inner peripheral surface side, and on the outer peripheral surface thereof, a plurality of recess parts 14 and projection parts 15 are alternately arranged side by side. A maximum outer diameter R1 passing through the tip part of the projection part 15 is larger than an inner diameter R2 of the seal material storage recess part 22.</p> |
